GOD IS TERRIBLE ! GOD'S FINAL CALL TO BE THE ONE PEOPLE !
A Prayer of Adoration
GOD IS WONDERFUL !
GOD IS TERRIBLE !
GOD'S FINAL CALL TO BE THE ONE PEOPLE !
Our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST is wonderful and HE is terrible. HE is a wonderful and terrible GOD. HE does wonderful and terrible works. HE is the Most High GOD. HE is the great KING, the KING of kings. HE is the LORD, the LORD of lords.
“...and HIS name shall be called Wonderful, ...” Isaiah 9:6
“For the LORD most high is terrible; HE is a great King over all the earth.” Psalm 47:2
Our LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST lovingly calls all to “repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (St. Matthew 4:17).
1. GOD'S MIGHTY POWER DEMONSTRATED [18 INSTANCES]
1. THE GREAT FLOOD DESTROYED THE WHOLE WORLD
In the days of Noah, the whole world was destroyed by a great universal flood because of people's wickedness and sins. This great universal Flood is presented as a fact of history in the Holy Bible. Our LORD JESUS CHRIST referred to this Flood as an example of the worldwide judgment to accompany HIS second coming (St. Matthew 24:37-39).
2. SODOM AND GOMORRAH WERE DESTROYED BY FIRE AND brimstone from heaven
In the days of Lot, the people of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim were destroyed by fire and brimstone from heaven, because of their filthy conduct and sins. This great destruction by fire and brimstone is presented as a fact of history in the Holy Bible. Our LORD JESUS CHRIST referred to this great destruction also as an illustration of the universal judgment to accompany HIS second coming (St. Luke 17:28-30).
3. THE LORD GOD DIVIDED THE RED SEA TERRIBLY
The miracle at the Red sea, reveals our LORD GOD's greatest act of redemption during the Old Testament period. Our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST redeemed HIS people, the Israelites by a miraculous crossing in deep water (I Corinthians 10:1-4).
4. THE ANGEL OF THE LORD GOD KILLED 185,000 ASSYRIANS IN ONE NIGHT
Hezekiah, the king of Judah was no match for Sennacherib, the king of Assyria. The blasphemous Sennacherib put Jerusalem under siege. By his command, Rabshakeh, his chief aide greatly blasphemed against the LORD GOD. When Hezekiah heard this, he took all his concerns to the LORD GOD in prayer, believing that GOD would vindicate his most holy name and deliver Jerusalem. Isaiah, the prophet also assured Hezekiah that the LORD GOD would deal with the blasphemous Sennacherib.
The LORD GOD heard the prayer of faith and HE intervened through HIS angel, who killed 185,000 Assyrians in one night. After returning to his own country, Sennacherib's own sons assassinated him also (II Kings 19:35-37).
5. THE LORD GOD DIVIDED THE RIVER JORDAN WONDERFULLY
The LORD GOD divided the river Jordan to exalt and bless Joshua, the servant of the LORD. When the soles of the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the LORD GOD-the LORD of all the earth-rested in the waters of Jordan, its waters were cut off; the waters flowing downstream were cut off and the waters that came down from upstream stood still and rose up in a heap very far away; the waters that came down from upstream stopped flowing and the waters flowing down to the Salt sea were cut off. So the Israelites miraculously crossed over opposite Jericho. All the Israelites miraculously crossed over on dry ground. The LORD GOD magnified Joshua, the servant of the LORD, in the sight of all the Israelites. See Joshua 3.
6. ISRAEL’S VICTORY AT JERICHO
Jericho was securely shut up because of the Israelites; none went out, and none came in. In obedience to the command of the LORD GOD, Joshua with all his armed men marched around the city once and returned to the camp. They did this for six days. On the seventh day, they rose up early at daybreak and marched around the city seven times. The seventh time around, when the priests blew the trumpets, Joshua commanded the people,
“Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.”
Accordingly, the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. When the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, the wall collapsed and crumbled to dust. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city and devoted it to GOD. See Joshua 6:1-20.
7. THE SUN STOOD STILL AND THE MOON STOPPED
Joshua fought against the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon. The LORD GOD discomfited (confused) them before the Israelites. They killed the Amorites with a great slaughter at Gibeon.
As the Amorites fled before Israel on the road down from Bethhoron to Azekah, the LORD GOD cast down great hailstones on them from the sky. There were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the Israelites killed with the sword.
On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the sight of Israel,
“Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.”
So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped till the people avenged themselves upon their enemies. The sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. There has been no day like that before it or after it, a day when the lord heeded the voice of a man; the lord god fought for Israel. See Joshua 10:1-14.
8. THE SWORD OF THE LORD AND OF GIDEON !
The Spirit of the LORD GOD came upon Gideon, the servant of GOD. Gideon with all his thirty-two thousand men went to fight against the Midianites, the Amalekites and all the children of the east. They were as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as the sand on the seashore. The LORD said to Gideon,
“The people that are with thee are too many for ME to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against ME, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me. Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. ...” Judges 7:2-3
So twenty-two thousand men returned, and ten thousand remained. And the LORD said to Gideon,
“The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try (test) them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.” Judges 7:4
So Gideon brought the men down to the water. And the LORD said to Gideon,
“Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.” Judges 7:5
Three hundred men lapped with their hands to their mouths. All the rest bowed down on their knees to drink. And the LORD said to Gideon,
“By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.” Judges 7:7
So Gideon sent away all the rest of the Israelites to their tents, and retained those three hundred men. They took provisions and their trumpets in their hands. During that night the LORD said to Gideon,
“Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand. But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host: And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host.”
So Gideon and Phurah went down to the outpost of the armed men who were in the camp. When they arrived, there was a man telling a dream to his friend. He said,
“Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along.” Judges 7:13
His friend answered and said,
“This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath GOD delivered Midian, and all the host.” Judges 7:14
When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he worshipped the LORD GOD. Then he returned to the camp of Israel and called out,
“Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.”
Then Gideon divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he placed trumpets and empty pitchers in the hands of all of them, with lamps within the pitchers. Gideon told them,
“Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do. When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.” Judges 7:17-18
Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the outpost of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch. They blew their trumpets and broke the pitchers that were in their hands. The three companies blew their trumpets and broke the pitchers-they held the lamps in their left hands and the trumpets in the right hands for blowing-and they shouted,
“The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.” Judges 7:20
Every man stood in his place all around the camp of the Midianites. The whole army of the Midianites ran and cried out and fled. When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the LORD GOD set every man's sword against his friend throughout the whole camp; and the army of the Midianites fled. Then the Israelites gathered together and pursued the Midianites and defeated them. See Judges 7.
9. THE PHILISTINES’ SIN WITH THE ARK OF GOD
The ark of GOD (the ark of the covenant) symbolized the great ruling presence of GOD among HIS people. Therefore the ark of GOD was placed in the Most Holy Place of the tabernacle-the sanctuary of GOD or the dwelling place of GOD.
The gold-covered ark of the covenant contained the gold pot of manna, Aaron's rod that had budded, and the two stone tablets of the covenant containing the Ten Commandments of GOD (Hebrews 9:4).
the Philistines took the ark of GOD and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. They brought the ark of GOD into the house (temple) of Dagon and set the ark of GOD beside Dagon (a Philistine idol). When the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD GOD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD GOD. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off and were lying on the threshold; only the body remained.
The hand of the LORD GOD was heavy upon the people of Ashdod and its territory. He brought devastation upon them and struck them with emerods (tumours) in their secret parts. Since the hand of the LORD GOD was heavy upon the people of Ashdod, they sent the ark of the LORD GOD to Gath. There also, the hand of the LORD GOD was heavy upon the people of Gath; HE brought devastation upon them and struck them (both small and great) with emerods in their secret parts. Therefore they sent the ark of the LORD GOD to Ekron. As the ark of the GOD of Israel was entering Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out,
“They have brought about the ark of the GOD of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.”
I Samuel 5:10
So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and said,
“Send away the ark of the GOD of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people:” I Samuel 5:11
For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of the LORD GOD was heavy upon it. Those who did not die were stricken with emerods in their secret parts; and the outcry of the city went up to heaven. See I Samuel 5.
10. ISRAEL’S VICTORY OVER THE PHILISTINES
The Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But that day the LORD thundered with a great thunder against the Philistines. The LORD GOD discomfited (confused) the Philistines. They were overcome before Israel. The men of Israel struck them down from Mizpeh, as far as Bethcar. See I Samuel 7:10-11.
11. THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD ON DAVID
The Spirit of the LORD GOD came upon David. He was the second and greatest king of Israel. He began as a shepherd. He demonstrated his courage, strength and faithfulness by killing a lion and a bear that had attacked his flock.
David became a national hero when he killed the Philistine giant Goliath. He killed the Philistine with a sling and with a stone. The Philistine defied the armies of Israel. He was over nine feet tall. (His height was six cubits and a span.) When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to attack him, David ran quickly towards the battle line to meet the Philistine. David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. David killed the Philistine giant Goliath in the name of the LORD of hosts, the GOD of the armies of Israel, whom Goliath had defied. By the Spirit of the LORD GOD, David killed the Philistine giant Goliath. The Philistines were overcome before Israel. See I Samuel 16:13; 17:1-58.
12. THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE-HE IS GOD (THE CONTEST ON MOUNT CARMEL)
Consequent on the request of the prophet Elijah (Elias), Ahab, the king of Israel sent word throughout all Israel and gathered all the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal together on mount Carmel. Then Elijah went before the people and said,
“How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be GOD, follow HIM: but if Baal, then follow him.” I Kings 18:21
But the people answered him not a word.
Elijah was the only one of the LORD's prophets left, but Baal had four hundred and fifty prophets. Elijah said to the people,
“I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the GOD that answereth by fire, let HIM be GOD.” I Kings 18:22-24
Then all the people answered and said that it was well spoken.
Then they brought two bulls. The prophets of Baal took the bull, which was given them and prepared it first, since they were many; and they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon. They shouted,
“O Baal, hear us.” I kings 18:26
But there was no voice; no one answered; and they leaped upon the altar they had made.
At noon, Elijah ridiculed and mocked at them and said,
“Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking (meditating), or he is pursuing (busy), or he is in (on) a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.” I Kings 18:27
So they cried aloud, and cut themselves with knives and lancets, as was their custom, until their blood gushed out on them. midday passed, and they continued their very nervous prophesying until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered; no one paid attention.
Then Elijah asked all the people to come near to him. So all the people came near to him. And Elijah repaired and rebuilt the altar of the LORD that was broken down. He took twelve stones according to the number of tribes of the sons of Jacob or Israel. With the twelve stones, he built an altar of the LORD; and he made a trench around the altar, large enough to hold two measures (about fifteen litres) of seed. And he put the wood in order; he cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood. Then he said to them to fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood. They did it. Again, he said to them to do it a second time. They did it a second time. Then he said to them to do it a third time. They did it a third time. So the water ran all around the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
At the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, the prophet Elijah came near, and said,
“LORD GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art GOD in Israel, and that I am thyservant, and that I have done all these things at thyword. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD GOD, and that thouhast turned their heart back again.” I Kings 18:36-37
Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said,
“The LORD, HE is the GOD; the LORD, HE is the GOD.” I Kings 18:39
The LORD GOD answered by fire. So the LORD GOD is GOD. Praise The LORD! Alleluia! See I Kings 18:17-39.
13. THE CITY WALL OF APHEK FELL ON 27,000 SYRIANS
The Syrians and the Israelites encamped opposite each other for seven days. On the seventh day, the battle began. The children of Israel killed one hundred thousand foot soldiers of Syrians in one day. But the rest of them fled into the city of Aphek. The city wall of Aphek fell on twenty-seven thousand of the Syrians who were left. See I Kings 20:29-30.
14. GOD’S CHARIOTS AND HORSES
The Prophet Elisha, the man of GOD, gave the counsel of GOD to the king of Israel. The king of Israel did according to the counsel of Elisha. So the king of Syria's war plans against Israel were shattered. On knowing this, the king of Syria sent horses and chariots and a great army to capture Elisha. They came by night and surrounded the city of Dothan. When the servant of Elisha arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. Elisha's servant said to Elisha,
“Alas, my master! how shall we do?” II Kings 6:15
“Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”II Kings 6:16
And Elisha prayed, and said,
“LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see.” II Kings 6:17
Then the LORD GOD opened the eyes of the young man (the servant of Elisha), and he saw. He looked and saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. See II Kings 6:8-17.
15. SYRIA’S ARMY WAS BLINDED
The Syrians came down to capture Elisha, the man of GOD. Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said,
“Smite (strike) this people, I pray thee, with blindness. ...” II Kings 6:18
And the LORD GOD struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. Then he led the Syrians to Samaria. When they had come to Samaria, Elisha said,
“LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see.” II Kings 6:20
And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and there they were inside Samaria. When the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha,
“My father, shall I smite (kill) them? shall I smite them?” II Kings 6:21
“Thou shalt not smite (kill) them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.” II Kings 6:22
Then the king of Israel prepared a great feast for them; and after they ate and drank, he sent them away and they returned to their master, the king of Syria. See II Kings 6:18-23.
16. THE FLIGHT OF THE SYRIANS
Benhadad, the king of Syria with his entire army besieged Samaria. So there was a great famine in the city. Then the LORD GOD had caused the Syrians to hear the sound of chariots, horses and a great army, so that they said to one another,
“Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.” II Kings 7:6
So they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact-their tents, their horses, and their donkeys. They left the camp as it was and fled for their lives.
Then the people of Israel went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour of wheat was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD. Elisha's prophecy and promises of plenty were fulfilled. Elisha had prophesied and said,
“Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.” II Kings 7:1
A measure is about 7.5 litres. See II Kings 6:24-33; 7:1-19.
17. GOD QUENCHED THE FIERY FURNACE
Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon made an image of gold, sixty cubits (about ninety feet) high and six cubits (about nine feet) wide. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Then he sent word to the princes, the governors, the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image he had set up. So all of them assembled for the dedication of the image and they stood before it. Then a herald cried aloud,
“To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”
Therefore at that time, when they heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, they fell down and worshipped the image of gold that king Nebuchadnezzar had set up. But the Jews (the Israelites) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did not fall down or worship the image, even though Nebuchadnezzar had set over them the affairs of the province of Babylon; they refused to worship the image of gold that king Nebuchadnezzar had set up. When Nebuchadnezzar heard this, he was furious with rage. Then in his rage and fury, he commanded his officers to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So they were brought before the king. Nebuchadnezzar said to them,
“Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that GOD that shall deliver you out of my hands?” Daniel 3:14-15
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king,
“O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful (we have no need) to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our GOD whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and HE will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward them. Therefore, he commanded his men to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. And he commanded the mightiest men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these three men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their hats, and other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Since the king's command was urgent (severe), and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Then king Nebuchadnezzar was astonished, and rose up in haste and asked his counsellors,
“Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” Daniel 3:24
“True, O king.” Daniel 3:24
The king answered,
“Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no (are not) hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of GOD.” Daniel 3:25
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego trusted GOD. So, GOD protected them in the burning fiery furnace. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and said,
“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high GOD, come forth, and come hither.” Daniel 3:26
Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came from the midst of the fire. The princes, governors, captains, and the king's counsellors gathered together. They saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed; their coats and their other garments were not affected; and the smell of fire had not passed on them. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying,
“Blessed be the GOD of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent HIS angel, and delivered HIS servants that trusted in HIM, and have changed (defied) the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own GOD. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the GOD of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other godthat can deliver after this sort (like this).” Daniel 3:28-29
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
18. GOD SHUT THE MOUTHS OF THE LIONS
King Darius the Mede had appointed one hundred and twenty princes to rule throughout his kingdom, with three presidents over them. Of these three presidents, Daniel was the most capable. Daniel distinguished himself above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king planned to set him over the whole realm.
So the princes and presidents tried to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could not find any charge or fault against him, because he was faithful and no error or fault was found in him. Then these men said,
“We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his GOD.” Daniel 6:5
So these princes and presidents went as a group to the king and said,
“King Darius, live for ever. All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any godor man for thirty days, save (except) of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not (cannot be) changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.” Daniel 6:6-8
Therefore, king Darius signed the written decree. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. He went up to his upper room and with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times a day, and prayed and gave thanks before his GOD, just as he had done before.
Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his GOD. So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree:
“Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any GOD or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?”
The king answered and said,
“The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.”
Then they answered and said before the king,
“That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.”
When king Darius heard these words he was greatly displeased with himself for signing the law and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he laboured till the going down of the sun trying to think of some way to get Daniel out of this predicament. Then these men approached the king and said to the king,
“Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.” Daniel 6:15
So the king had to give the command for Daniel's arrest and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel,
“Thy GOD whom thou servest continually, HE will deliver thee.” Daniel 6:16
Then a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signets of his lords that the purpose concerning Daniel might not be changed.
Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no musicians were brought before him. Also his sleep went from him. So the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel,
“O Daniel, servant of the living GOD, is thy GOD, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?” Daniel 6:20
Then Daniel said to the king,
“O king, live for ever. My GOD hath sent HIS angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before himinnocency (innocence) was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt (wrong).” Daniel 6:21-22
Then the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded to take Daniel out of the den. So Daniel was taken out of the den of lions, and no injury whatever, not even a scratch was found on him, because he believed in his GOD. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
At the king's command, the men who had accused Daniel were brought and cast into the den of lions, along with their wives and children. And before they hit the bottom of the den, the lions overpowered them, broke all their bones, and tore them apart in pieces.
Then king Darius wrote a wise decree to all people, nations, and languages that dwelt in all the earth:
“Peace be multiplied unto you. I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble (must tremble) and fear before the GOD of Daniel: for HE is the living GOD, and stedfast for ever, and HIS kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and HIS dominion shall be even unto the end. HE delivereth and rescueth, and HE worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.” Daniel 6:25-27
So Daniel because of his faith and trust in the living GOD was never put to shame but prospered not only in the reign of Darius, but also in the reign of Cyrus, the Persian. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
2. WHO ARE THE BLESSED ?
My beloved brothers and sisters in christ, who read this precious book, give a most sincere thought to what you have read in this precious book.
There is no other name except the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST under heaven given for the people to obtain forgiveness of sins (remission of sins), salvation from sins (deliverance from sins), redemption from sins, holiness and holy life, and the Holy Spirit and to reach heaven, the kingdom of GOD. The blessed people are those who obtain the above spiritual experiences and those who walk always in the counsel of GOD and those who walk always according to the law of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST.
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.”
“Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep HIS testimonies, and that seek HIM with the whole heart.” Psalm 119:1-2
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2
“Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in HIS ways.” Psalm 128:1
“Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in HIS commandments.” Psalm 112:1
“And HE (the LORD JESUS CHRIST) opened HIS mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see GOD. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of GOD. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for MY sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
St. Matthew 5:2-12
Now, if you have obtained readiness and eligibility to inherit heaven, the kingdom of heaven and if you are worthy of waiting for the coming of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST, you will enjoy immense peace, joy, happiness, consolation, and a life without the fear of death. You will have no fear of death, if you are confident of inheriting heaven, the kingdom of GOD or of going to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, when you happen to pass away. If you are the blessed, your name will be in the Book of Life in heaven, the kingdom of heaven.
The names of the blessed people would have been written in the Book of Life. The blessed people will inherit heaven, the kingdom of GOD. They are the greatly blessed ones. They are the saints. They are the pure people. They are not the abominable people. They are the undefiled people. They are not liars. They deserve very great blessings of the LORD GOD. They deserve eternal blessings of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST.
“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Revelation 21:27
The blessed people live and walk according to the Holy Spirit. They bear good spiritual fruits such as love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, righteousness and truth.
“For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.”
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:22-23, 25
The blessed people are the holy people. They are holy in their whole spirit and soul and body. They are holy and blameless till the coming of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST.
“And the very GOD of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray GOD your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
I Thessalonians 5:23
The blessed people always do the will of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. Only those who do the will of GOD who is in heaven, will enter into the kingdom of heaven.
“Not every one that saith unto ME, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY FATHER which is in heaven. Many will say to ME in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in thyname? and in thyname have cast out devils? and in thyname done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.” St. Matthew 7:21-23
The blessed people offer their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. This is their spiritual act of worship. They are not conformed to the pattern of this world. They are transformed by the renewing of their mind. They are able to prove what GOD's will is-HIS good and acceptable and perfect will.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of GOD, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto GOD, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of GOD.”
The blessed people are like the wise virgins with plenty of oil. They are the anointed people anointed with fresh and fine oil, the Holy Spirit and they are ready and fully prepared themselves to meet the LORD GOD. They are ready and fully prepared for the coming of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. See St. Matthew 25:1-13.
The blessed people are born of GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. They are the overcomers of the world by faith. They are the overcomers of Satan, the devil by faith. They are the overcomers of everything by their belief in the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST.
“For whatsoever is born of GOD overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that JESUS is the Son of GOD?” I John 5:4-5
In this world, the blessed people serve and worship the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST, in the model of what is in heaven.
“Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, ...” Hebrews 8:5
The blessed people are those who die in the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. They will rest from their labours and their deeds will follow them.
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the LORD from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” Revelation 14:13
man is of the earth. He is made from the dust of the ground. The blessed people will be given a glorious body, during the coming of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. This glorious body will be like the most glorious body of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. This vile body made from the dust of the ground will be wonderfully changed into a glorious flying body by the great power of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST.
“And the LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground, ...” Genesis 2:7
“For our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the LORD JESUS CHRIST: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto HIS glorious body, according to the working whereby HE is able even to subdue all things unto HIMSELF.” Philippians 3:20-21
The blessed people will be caught up with the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST, to meet HIM in the air and they will be ever and ever with HIM.
“For if we believe that JESUS died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in JESUS will GOD bring with HIM. For this we say unto you by the word of the LORD, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the LORD shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep (dead). For the LORD HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of GOD: and the dead in CHRIST shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever (always) be with the LORD.”
I Thessalonians 4:14-17
The blessed people are the members of the church of the living GOD, JESUS CHRIST. They are the saved; they are the baptized; they are the holy; they are the righteous; and they are the anointed. These blessed people will be dressed in clean, bright and white clothing in fine linen. Clean, bright and white clothing in fine linen spiritually symbolizes the righteousness of saints.
“And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”
Here, she means the church of the living GOD.
The blessed people will reign this world with the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST for a period of a thousand years. That period of a thousand years is also called a millennium. CHRIST will reign on earth without any opposition and HIS millennial kingdom will be characterized by righteousness, peace and love. The earthly Jerusalem will be the headquarters of CHRIST's Millennial kingdom.
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of GOD and of CHRIST, and shall reign with HIM a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6
‘GOD and CHRIST’ are the LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.
The blessed people will receive the immensely glorious crown of life, the crown of righteousness or the crown of glory, the never-fading crown of glory.
“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried (has been proved), he shall receive the crown of life, which the LORD hath promised to them that love HIM.”
“Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love HIS appearing.” II Timothy 4:8
“And when the chief Shepherd (the LORD JESUS CHRIST) shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” I Peter 5:4
After getting the crown of life, the blessed people will sit on their thrones and rule and govern as kings and priests with the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST for ever and ever in heaven, the kingdom of heaven. They are the most blessed people.
“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with ME in (on) MY throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with MY FATHER in (on) HIS throne.” Revelation 3:21
“...Unto HIM that loved us, and washed us from our sins in HIS own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto GOD and HIS FATHER; to HIM be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5-6
‘GOD and HIS FATHER’ are the LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.
The LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST will write on these blessed people HIS new name and HIS name will be on their foreheads.
“And they shall see HIS face; and HIS name shall be in (on) their foreheads.”
The blessed people will sing and praise the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST in everlasting happiness, joy and pleasure.
“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of GOD, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thyworks, LORD GOD Almighty; just and true are thyways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O LORD, and glorify thyname? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thyjudgments are made manifest.” Revelation 15:3-4
‘The Lamb’ is the LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.
The blessed people will eat and enjoy the fruits of life from the tree of life in heaven, the kingdom of GOD.
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of GOD.” Revelation 2:7
“In the midst (middle) of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:2
The blessed people will drink and enjoy the water of life, from the pure river of the water of life or from the pure river of the Holy Spirit in heaven, the kingdom of heaven. They will also bathe and enjoy in the pure river of the water of life.
“There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of GOD, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.” Psalm 46:4
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of GOD and of the Lamb.” Revelation 22:1
‘GOD and the Lamb’ are the LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.
The blessed people will see the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST face to face, and they will serve HIM in great joy, pleasure and happiness in heaven, the kingdom of GOD. They will live for ever and ever in heaven, the kingdom of GOD. This is the greatest blessing a man can ever obtain. The children of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST, who obtain these great blessings are the truly blessed people; they are the wise people. They will shine like the brightness of the heavens and like the stars for ever and ever by the glory of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST.
“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:3
“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of GOD did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: ...” Revelation 21:23-24
Here, the Lamb is the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.
3. MAN-MADE GODS
Man-made gods are not gods. So, no one should make his/her own gods. No one should make gods and worship them. Making gods and worshipping them are sins. GOD is not like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising (Acts 17:29).
“Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?”
Everyone should trust in GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, but not in idols. HE alone is GOD. HE alone is worthy of praise. HE alone is worthy to be served and worshipped. HE alone will save you. What is the condition of the idols? What is the condition of the man-made gods or the false gods? What is the condition of those who make idols? What is the condition of the idolaters? What is the condition of those who worship false gods? Worthless, hopeless and pitiable.
“Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.”
Considering the impotence of the idols or the man-made gods or the false gods and the emptiness of false religion, everyone should worship the great GOD and the all-powerful GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
“And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.”
Worshipping idols or man-made gods or false gods is a great sin against GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. So, such sinners should repent of this sin and obtain forgiveness of sin and salvation from sin, from our LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. Otherwise, it might be an unpardonable sin, deserving judgment and hell. Also, no one should forsake the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
“How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken ME, and sworn by them that are no gods: ...”
The heart of idolatrous worship, the worship of man-made gods or the false gods was Samaria. So GOD's anger was severely kindled against the people of Samaria.
“...Of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; MINE anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency? For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not GOD: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.” Hosea 8:4-6
‘Calf’ means ‘golden calf image’.
Our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST is the ONE GOD and the ONLY GOD and the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD and everyone should worship HIM in spirit and in truth, since our GOD is the Holy Spirit and the truth and the heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain HIM. HE is upright and just. HE is a faithful GOD who does no wrong.
“...Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; ...” II Chronicles 6:18
“HE is ... a GOD of truth and without iniquity, just and right is HE.” Deuteronomy 32:4
“GOD is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.”
St. John 4:24
Our LORD GOD is greater than the heavens. Now, heaven is HIS throne and earth HIS footstool. This clearly shows the magnitude and immensity of GOD. HE is not limited to any house or place or temple made by people. GOD's desire is to dwell in men and women who tremble at HIS word and who are of a poor and contrite spirit. In eternity (in the kingdom of heaven or in the kingdom of GOD) there is no need for a temple, "for the LORD GOD Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it" (Revelation 21:22). The LORD GOD Almighty and the Lamb are the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF. In heaven, there is everlasting joy and gladness (Isaiah 35:10).
So, everyone should gain access to this real heaven, the kingdom of GOD, and everyone should avoid hell, the fiery lake of burning sulphur. In hell, their worms will not die, nor will their fire be quenched (St. Mark 9:44).
“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is MY throne, and the earth is MY footstool: where is the house that ye build unto ME? and where is the place of MY rest? For all those things hath MINE hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at MYword.”
Hence, men should not make gods for themselves, since they are not gods. Men should not make their gods, since they are not gods. Men should not make their own gods, since they are not gods. Men should not make idols or images to worship, since they are not gods. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
4. GOD’S dWELLING
The LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST is the ONE GOD and the ONLY GOD and the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD. HE is the ONLY GOD of heaven and HE dwells in heaven, the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of GOD.
“O give thanks unto the GOD of heaven: for HIS mercy endureth for ever.”
Again, the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST dwells in HIS holy temple. HE never dwells in any unholy place. The present name of HIS holy temple is a house of prayer.
“The LORD is in HIS holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven: HIS eyes behold, HIS eyelids try (test), the children of men.” Psalm 11:4
“But the LORD is in HIS holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before HIM.”
“Even them will I bring to MY holy mountain, and make them joyful in MY house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon MINE altar; for MINE house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” Isaiah 56:7
Further, the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST dwells with the humble and the contrite having a humble and contrite spirit in the LORD.
“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
Again, if the believers of the LORD JESUS CHRIST love one another, then HE dwells in them.
“...If we love one another, GOD dwelleth in us, and HIS love is perfected in us.”
I John 4:12
Furthermore, the LORD JESUS CHRIST dwells in HIS believers' hearts by faith.
“That CHRIST may dwell in your hearts by faith; ...” Ephesians 3:17
Again, the people of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST are the temple of the living GOD. Since the Spirit of GOD dwells in them, they are the temple of GOD and they must be holy always.
“And what agreement hath the temple of GOD with idols? for ye are the temple of the living GOD; as GOD hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their GOD, and they shall be MY people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”
II Corinthians 6:16-17
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of GOD, and that the Spirit of GOD dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of GOD, him shall GOD destroy; for the temple of GOD is holy, which temple ye are.” I Corinthians 3:16-17
Further, the bodies of the believers of CHRIST are the members of CHRIST. Hence, they are the body of CHRIST and members in particular. Thus, the believers of CHRIST-those who are saved and have received immersion baptism as mentioned above, are the members of HIS church. Again, the church of the living GOD, JESUS CHRIST is the house of GOD. Thus, the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST dwells in HIS house, viz., in HIS church.
“Know ye not that your bodies are the members of CHRIST? ...”
I Corinthians 6:15
“Now ye are the body of CHRIST, and members in particular.”
I Corinthians 12:27
“But if I tarry long (am delayed), that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of GOD, which is the church of the living GOD, the pillar and ground of the truth.” I Timothy 3:15
During the true Holy Communion or in the LORD's Supper, the most holy flesh of the LORD JESUS CHRIST is eaten and the most holy blood of the LORD JESUS CHRIST is drunk. Now, he who eats HIS flesh and he who drinks HIS blood, dwells in HIM and HE in him.
“He that eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, dwelleth in ME, and I in him.”
St. John 6:56
Again, the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST is always willing to dwell with HIS people in HIS eternal kingdom. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of GOD is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and GOD HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their GOD.”
5. RESPECT HOLY PLACES
Usually shoes or sandals or slippers are used, in and out of our houses, for the safety of our feet. They are used to protect our feet from dirt, dust, thorns, cold, heat, etc.
When our LORD GOD appeared to Moses, HE commanded him to take off his shoes from his feet, because the place where Moses stood was a holy ground or holy place. Our LORD GOD said to Moses,
“Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5
Further, the captain of the LORD's host said to Joshua,
“Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy.”
Hence, it is very clear that in the holy places, no one should put on his/her dirty and dusty shoes or sandals or slippers. Those who put on their dirty and dusty shoes or sandals or slippers in the holy places, dishonour the most holy GOD and dishonour the most holy presence of GOD. Those who put on their dirty and dusty shoes or sandals or slippers when praying to GOD in the holy places or when preaching the word of GOD in the holy places, dishonour the most holy GOD. Those who put on their dirty and dusty shoes or sandals or slippers when praying to GOD or when attending the Christian religious services or when conducting the Christian religious services, dishonour the most holy GOD. But everyone should honour and fear our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST always in everything to receive HIS blessings.
“HE will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.” Psalm 115:13
No one should despise HIS most holy name. Our LORD GOD says,
“A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a (the) father, where is MINE honour? and if I be a master, where is MY fear? ...” Malachi 1:6
So, everyone should revere and honour our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST in all things; everyone should fear and honour our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST in everything, since salvation and praise and thanks and honour belong to our Only wise GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Putting on dirty and dusty shoes or sandals or slippers in the holy places will dishonour and despise our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. Hence, dirty and dusty shoes or sandals or slippers should not be put on our feet in the holy places.
Now, a freezing cold weather or a boiling hot weather must be controlled in the holy places, by using some other fresh and clean materials for the safety of our feet. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
6. ONE GOD !! ONE PEOPLE !!
Our GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST created man in HIS true righteousness and in HIS true holiness. But that man fell by his own disobedience, and therefore was cursed by GOD. And this curse of death was completely vanquished by the death of our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST on the cross at Calvary (Genesis 3:15-16).
Now, man is a personal being with the power to think, feel and decide. He has certain ability to make himself morally good or bad and certain capacity for his spiritual growth or decline. In the beginning, man loved GOD and obeyed GOD and feared GOD and worshipped GOD and was a holy creature. But his sin, the deliberate and willful rejection of GOD's divine command, made him an unholy and ugly creature. Sin altered him and he fled from GOD and loved evil and ugly things more than righteousness (St. John 3:19-20). Hence, we, all humans are hopelessly lost and we are in need of a Saviour. That is why our LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD came into this world to save and redeem us all from sin (St. Luke 19:10).
Further, GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is also a personal being who always seeks to fellowship with mankind, like a most loving father. However, GOD is GOD and HE is not a man, and HE does not think, feel and decide like man (Isaiah 55:8-9). So, no one should question HIM about HIS Words or deeds.
When our GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST was in this world, HE did the great miracle of feeding about five thousand hungry men besides women and children with five barley loaves of bread and two small fishes. Besides these men, a large uncounted group of women and children were also miraculously fed with those loaves of bread and fishes (St. Matthew 14:13-21; St. Mark 6:30-44; St. Luke 9:10-17; St. John 6:1-15). From this great miracle, we infer the following divine qualities of our GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST: HE was very eager to see the people who came to HIM; HE was moved with great compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd to shepherd them; HE lovingly received them to give them spiritual food and bodily food and spiritual healing and bodily healing; HE lovingly spoke to them of the kingdom of GOD or the kingdom of heaven-that is, HE gave the spiritual food, the glorious gospel of HIS kingdom to them to eat first, in order that they would enter into heaven-that is, HE fed the hungry souls who needed soul's feeding or spiritual feeding and satisfied them fully; HE healed all the bodily sick people who were greatly troubled by diseases and by devils and had no peace and HE healed the spiritually sick people who needed spiritual healing and who were troubled by sins and had no peace; HE fed all the hungry who needed life's feeding or bodily feeding and satisfied them fully. Then HE sent the crowds to their houses.
Even though, the human race departed from the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, GOD has lovingly provided a new and living way for them to be reconciled to HIM and to be the ONE AND ONLY TRUE PEOPLE of HIM, through the veil of HIS most holy flesh (Hebrews 10:19-20). So, HE lovingly calls the people of the whole world to be HIS ONE AND ONLY TRUE PEOPLE. Hence, everyone should obey HIS divine call to be HIS ONE AND ONLY TRUE PEOPLE.
My dearly beloved brothers and sisters in CHRIST: If you have not responded to our LORD JESUS CHRIST's heavenly call so far, your sins that are already in you or that have already entered into you will never leave you (Romans 5:12); sin, the sinful nature of the sinful one or the evil nature of the evil one, the devil or Satan will enter into you more and more (Romans 5:12); sin will reign you more and more (Romans 5:21); sin will have dominion over (lord over) you more and more (Romans 6:14); sin will deceive you more and more (Romans 7:11); sin will dwell in you and make its home in you more and more (Romans 7:17); sin will operate more vehemently from the base camp of flesh and destroy you by and by; sin will kill your soul completely (Romans 7:11); and finally sin will bring you eternal death, eternal damnation in hell, the fiery lake of burning sulphur (Romans 6:23). Sin is alive (Romans 7:9). Sin is very dangerous and it is very active and alert to bring you eternal damnation in hell. If you are not fully saved from your sins by the grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, then your sin and your soul's death cannot be separated; and your sin and your eternal death in hell cannot be separated. You will be always in hell in eternal damnation. So, be watchful always and by obeying HIS heavenly call, immediately repent of your sins and receive the full salvation of GOD and escape hell.
Now, Satan, the devil is the adversary to mankind. As a roaring lion, he is walking and seeking us to devour (I Peter 5:8). As a wicked and deceit fowler, he lies in wait and sets snares and traps to catch us (Psalm 91:3; Jeremiah 5:26). He is injecting more and more sins and sinful lusts into sinners and he is also shooting his fiery darts of sins and sinful lusts into sinners (Ephesians 6:16).
Sinners have permitted their hearts to become fat, their ears to become dull of hearing and their eyes to be blind to truth. They have submitted their hearts, their ears and their eyes to Satan, the devil and not to GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 28:26-27). Hence, a human and satanic action in rebellion against GOD and HIS Word is prevailing. But GOD's Word is not hidden from mankind; GOD's Word is not far off; GOD's Word is not in the sky; GOD's Word is not beyond the seas; GOD's Word is near us; GOD's Word is in our mouth; and GOD's Word is in our heart (Deuteronomy 30:11-14). The Holy Bible, GOD's Holy Word is written in the simplest human language possible. So, we are without excuse; we are inexcusable.
Now, the god of this world or the god of this age (Satan, the devil) has blinded the thoughts and the minds of the sinners, so that the light of the glorious Gospel of CHRIST, the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD might not shine into their hearts (II Corinthians 4:4). This is similar to a video camera lens's being covered so that the light cannot shine into the camera to bring in the image. It is also like a blind man, into whom the light is unable to shine. Further, it is like a man with his eyes veiled, into whom the light is unable to shine. Anything such as philosophy, religion, cultural traditions, the rudiments of the world, the traditions of men, and the commandments and doctrines of men that hinders people from apprehending the glorious Gospel of CHRIST is a veil.
Satan, the devil blinds the minds and the thoughts of mankind
- By totally deceiving all people (Revelation 12:9).
- By being the leader of all sinners and all backsliders (I John 3: 8-10; I Timothy
5:15) and all spirit rebels (Ephesians 6:10-18).
- By causing diversions and by blinding people to the Gospel (II Corinthians 4:4).
- By working lying wonders or false miracles (II Thessalonians 2:9; St. John 8:44).
- By tempting people (I Corinthians 7:5).
- By causing doubt and unbelief (Genesis 3:4-5; Romans 14:23).
- By causing double-mindedness (James 1:5-9).
- By taking all advantage of all adversities of people by his devices or schemes
(II Corinthians 2:11).
- By causing offences (St. Matthew 16:23).
- By hindering answers to prayer (Psalm 88:1-18).
- By provoking to sin (I Chronicles 21:1).
- By hindering the Gospel of GOD (Acts 13:10).
- By sealing the Word of GOD from people, so that they would not believe and be
saved (St. Luke 8:12).
- By resisting others (Zechariah 3:1-2).
- By contending with messengers of GOD (Jude 9).
- By sending messengers to defeat saints (II Corinthians 12:7).
