Our  LORD JESUS CHRIST says,

He that believeth (who believes) and is baptized shall be (will be) saved.
St. Mark 16:16

In this section, let us discuss the baptism of water but not the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Now, our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST commanded baptism, saying, 

GO ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit).”
St. Matthew 28:19

HE commanded HIS disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit. Before the foundation of the world, our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST had foreseen the necessity of this glorious baptism of water. So, when HE was in this world as Saviour, HE instituted this glorious baptism through John, the Baptist-the prophet.

1.1 DEFINITION

the word ‘BAPTISM’ means 'the most glorious heavenly washing prepared by the heavenly GOD in HIS unbounded and manifold wisdom, for HIS saved people'. 
Only by this baptism, do HIS people become the members of HIS church. The LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST will be coming to catch up with HIM HIS church. Those who are the members of HIS church will be caught up with the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST.

Now, the word baptize (in Greek baptizo) means "to dip or immerse in water",  indicating the correct procedure for baptizing.

1.2 BLESSINGS OF BAPTISM

Fulfilling the righteousness of the LORD GOD is baptism. See St. Matthew 3:13-16. 

“...For thus it becometh us (is fitting for us) to fulfil all righteousness. ...” 
St. Matthew 3:15

Acknowledging the fact that the LORD GOD is just is baptism.  Those who are baptized, declare the righteousness of GOD always.

“And all the people that heard HIM, and the publicans, justified (declared the righteousness of) GOD, being baptized with the baptism of John.”
St. Luke 7:29
Accepting the counsel of the LORD GOD is baptism.

“But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of GOD against themselves, being not baptized of HIM.”
St. Luke 7:30

Baptism is a glorious sign for the people who repent to GOD and receive the forgiveness of sins (remission of sins) from the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. Thus, baptism is a glorious symbol for the forgiveness of sins and for the repentance from sins.

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit).”
Acts 2:38

Again, baptism is a preparation to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 12:8-12).
Baptism is a glorious sign for the people who receive salvation from sins. People are saved from their sins by their faith. The LORD JESUS CHRIST said to a woman who had lived a sinful life:

“Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”
St. Luke 7:50

The saved people, after receiving baptism, become the members of the church.

“...And the LORD added to the church daily such as should be (were being) saved.”
Acts 2:47

Baptism is a glorious sign for those people who have belief in JESUS CHRIST. 

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (condemned).”
St. Mark 16:16
Washing away the sins is baptism. Washing away the atom-like or dust-like sins is baptism, i.e., washing away the sins purely and clearly is baptism.

“And now why tarriest thou (why do you wait)? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the LORD.”
Acts 22:16

The experience of getting into JESUS CHRIST is baptism.

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into JESUS CHRIST were baptized into HIS death?”
Romans 6:3

The experience of getting into the death of JESUS CHRIST is baptism. See Romans 6:3.
The experience of raising up from the dead is baptism. Those who were dead in their transgressions and sins, are raised up from the dead by baptism. Those who are raised up from the dead, are getting the blessing to sit together in heavenly places in CHRIST JESUS.

“Therefore we are buried with HIM by baptism into death: that like (just) as CHRIST was raised up from the dead by the glory of the FATHER, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

“And you hath HE quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins; Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us (made us alive) together with CHRIST, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in CHRIST JESUS.”
Ephesians 2:1, 5-6

Getting the experience to walk in newness of life is baptism. See Romans 6:4.
United together in the likeness of the death of JESUS CHRIST is baptism, that is united with the death of JESUS CHRIST is baptism.  The blessings of the LORD JESUS CHRIST are coming through HIS death. Through HIS death, we receive life-spiritual life, eternal life and immortality.

“For if we have been planted (united) together in the likeness of HIS death, we shall be also in the likeness of HIS resurrection.”Romans 6:5

United together in the likeness of the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST is baptism, that is united with the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST is baptism; the LORD JESUS CHRIST was resurrected for our justification. Mighty faith is coming to us through HIS resurrection. This faith is the victory that overcomes the world. See Romans 6:5.

“Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
Romans 4:25

‘For’ means ‘because of’.

“And if CHRIST be not raised, your faith is vain (futile); ye are yet in your sins.”
I Corinthians 15:17

“For whatsoever is born of GOD overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
I John 5:4

A holy washing in the most holy name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST is baptism.

“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the LORD JESUS, and by the Spirit of our GOD.”
I Corinthians 6:11

Putting on CHRIST is baptism.

“For as many of you as have been baptized into CHRIST have put on CHRIST.”
Galatians 3:27

Baptism is sanctification with the washing of water and cleansing with the washing of water by the word of GOD. 'The washing of water' refers to water baptism, which is the outward symbol of an inward change. 

“That HE might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.”
Ephesians 5:26

Getting the circumcision in the LORD JESUS CHRIST is baptism. Getting the circumcision of CHRIST is baptism. This is the spiritual circumcision. This circumcision is not done by the hands. This is the glorious circumcision. Heart, eyes, ears, tongue, hands etc., of the body are circumcised by the LORD JESUS CHRIST gloriously.  This circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit. This circumcision is the circumcision of the foreskins of the heart, in the Spirit.  This circumcision is that of the eyes, in the Spirit. This circumcision is that of the tongue, in the Spirit. This circumcision is that of the hands, in the Spirit. This circumcision is that of the ears, in the Spirit etc. By this circumcision, those who are baptized are all one in CHRIST JESUS. By this circumcision, they are rooted and built up in HIM and strengthened in the faith. Now, circumcision denotes cutting off or removal. By this spiritual circumcision, one's sinful nature is broken and removed by CHRIST. 

“In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of CHRIST.”
Colossians 2:11
“Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked (stubborn).” Deuteronomy 10:16 

“Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest MY fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.” Jeremiah 4:4

“For as many of you as have been baptized into CHRIST have put on CHRIST. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond (slave) nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in CHRIST JESUS.”  Galatians 3:27-28

“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of GOD.”
Romans 2:28-29

Now, a man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly (fleshly). A man is a Jew if he is one inwardly (spiritually). Further, circumcision which is done by men (not by women) merely outward and physical is not circumcision. Circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written law. The true circumcision consists of those circumcised of heart, not of body. Circumcision of the body (the flesh) has no spiritual value or significance. In spiritual circumcision, there is no ethnic (Jew, Greek or Gentile), social (bond, free) or sexual (male, female) distinctions. In CHRIST JESUS neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith in JESUS that is produced by love.

“For in JESUS CHRIST neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.” Galatians 5:6 

Putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of CHRIST is baptism. See Colossians 2:11. Putting off the body of the sins of the flesh and getting a holy body of sinless nature is baptism. Those who get baptism are totally immersed into the water. When totally immersed into the water, the body of the sins of the flesh is put off into the water and a holy body of sinless nature is given by the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. Hence, they come out from the water with holy flesh and body. This is the true baptism. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

Being buried with JESUS CHRIST is baptism. See Romans 6:4. Those who are dead to sin are to be buried with JESUS CHRIST, that is those who are dead to sin, are to be baptized. Those who are not dead to sin, should not be buried with JESUS CHRIST, that is those who are not dead to sin, should not be baptized. If anyone who has not been dead to sin or if anyone who has not been saved is given baptism, then the one who is giving baptism will be punished by the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. Hence, anyone who is not dead to sin (not saved), should not be buried with JESUS CHRIST, that is anyone who is not dead to sin (not saved), should not be given baptism.

A saved one is laden with a man who has been dead to sin, until he receives baptism. A saved one is laden with the dead body of a man who has been dead to sin, until he receives baptism. If he is laden with the above dead body for a long time, then he will get tired in his spiritual life. His tiredness in spiritual life will lead to a fall in his spiritual life. Therefore, a man who is saved by JESUS CHRIST or a man who is dead to sin should receive baptism immediately.

Getting the faith of the operation of GOD (the faith in the power of GOD), who raised the LORD JESUS CHRIST from the dead is baptism.

“Buried with HIM in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with HIM through the faith of the operation of GOD, who hath raised HIM from the dead.”
Colossians 2:12

Risen with the LORD JESUS CHRIST is baptism. See Colossians 2:12. By receiving baptism, they are fit for taking part in the first resurrection of the saints. Blessed and holy people will take part in the first resurrection. The second death or hell has no power over them. They will be priests of GOD and of CHRIST. GOD and CHRIST are one. They will reign this world with CHRIST for a thousand years.

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of GOD and of CHRIST, and shall reign with HIM a thousand years.”
Revelation 20:6

Seeking those things, which are in heaven above is baptism. Getting the experience of setting hearts on things above is baptism. Getting the experience of setting minds on things above is baptism and getting the experience of setting minds not on earthly things
is baptism. Anyone who has received baptism must be dead to sins and he should live for righteousness. Again, anyone who has received baptism is risen up with the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Hence, his/her life is hidden with CHRIST in GOD. When CHRIST, who is his/her life finally appears to catch up with HIS church, then he/she will also appear with HIM in glory.

“If ye then be risen with CHRIST, seek those things which are above, where CHRIST sitteth on the right hand of GOD. Set your affection (mind) on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with CHRIST in GOD. When CHRIST, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.”
Colossians 3:1-4

1.3 WHERE TO GO ?

Our LORD JESUS CHRIST received baptism in the river Jordan to set an example to others (St. Matthew 3:13). JESUS HIMSELF was about thirty years old when HE received baptism (St. Luke 3:21-23). HE was baptized by John, the Baptist to set an example to others. John was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water. See St. Matthew 3:13-16; St. John 3:23. Hence, to receive baptism, you must go to a place where there is plenty of water. Receiving baptism from an artificial tank is against the example shown by our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

“And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.” St. John 3:23

1.4 HOW TO RECEIVE ?

To receive baptism, you must go to a place where there is plenty of water and you must go down into the water. The one who gives baptism should also go down into the water. Hence, both of them should go down into the water. 

“...They went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the LORD caught away Philip, ...”
Acts 8:38-39

“And JESUS, when HE was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: ...”
St. Matthew 3:16

1.5 HOW TO BE BAPTIZED ?

The one who receives baptism should go down into the water with the one who gives baptism, and he/she should receive baptism by totally immersing into the water. He/she should get the totally immersed baptism.  baptism should be received as if one is buried. When one is buried, no member or part of the body is left open. Hence, when you are baptized, your whole body should be totally immersed or totally buried into the water. You must be buried with the LORD JESUS CHRIST by baptism.  
“Therefore we are buried with HIM by baptism ...” Romans 6:4

“Buried with HIM in baptism, ...” Colossians 2:12

Sanctification and cleansing with the washing of water by the word of GOD is baptism and salvation by the washing of rebirth is baptism. See Ephesians 5:26 and Titus 3:5. Now, perfect sanctification, cleansing and salvation are obtained only by the perfect washing of water by the word of GOD; i.e., only by the total washing of water by the word of GOD; i.e., only by the totally immersed baptism

1.6 BY WHOM ?

The LORD JESUS CHRIST was baptized by John, the Baptist to set an example to others. The king Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man. He protected John, and he liked to listen to his words and he did many things as per his words. 

“For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.”
St. Mark 6:20

John, the Baptist was a great man in the sight of the LORD GOD.  He was never to take any fermented drink. He was filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. 

“For he shall be great in the sight of the LORD, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit), even from his mother’s womb.”
St. Luke 1:15
 
John, the baptist was a servant of the LORD GOD. He was not married. He lived a celibate lifestyle. He lived as a hermit and sage. 

Receiving baptism from such true ministers or servants of the LORD GOD would be the true baptism. The apostles, prophets, evangelists and pastors, the called servants of the LORD GOD are authorized by the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST to give baptism. 

The elders or bishops and deacons, the uncalled servants are never authorized by the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST to give baptism. The elders or bishops and deacons are married men (I timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9). No married men are authorized by the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST to give baptism. No women (married or unmarried) are authorized by the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST to give baptism.

1.7 IN WHOSE NAME ?

The LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST has commanded HIS disciples to baptize in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit. See St. Matthew 28:19. Hence, the disciples of the LORD JESUS CHRIST baptized in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit. they had never changed HIS command.
But, in Acts 2:38 it is written:

“...Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, ...”
Acts 2:38

Again, in Acts 19:5 it is written:

“...They were baptized in the name of the LORD JESUS.”
Acts 19:5 

The LORD JESUS CHRIST has commanded HIS disciples (apostles) to baptize in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit. But, in the Acts of the Apostles, it is written differently. What are the reasons for these writings? What are the meanings of these writings? What is the mystery in these writings?  At that time, the Jews or the Israelites believed GOD, the FATHER and GOD, the SON and GOD, the Holy Spirit. They also believed that GOD the SON will come as MESSIAH. MESSIAH in Hebrew means CHRIST in Greek. But, the Jews did not believe that GOD the SON is the LORD JESUS CHRIST. They did not believe that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is their MESSIAH. They did not have any belief about the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who is GOD the SON. Hence, they denied JESUS CHRIST; they denied their own MESSIAH; they denied their own JEHOVAH or YAHWEH or YHWH; they denied their own GOD the SON.

By this time, the apostles did great wonders in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. On seeing the great wonders of the LORD, the Jews or the Israelites began to believe JESUS CHRIST. They believed JESUS CHRIST as their own MESSIAH; they believed JESUS CHRIST as their own SAVIOUR; they believed JESUS CHRIST as their own REDEEMER; they believed JESUS CHRIST as their own JEHOVAH or YAHWEH or YHWH; they believed JESUS CHRIST as their own GOD the SON.

Then, they repented; they confessed their sins; they received forgiveness of sins; and they received salvation from sins. Thus, they were saved by the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Thus, they were saved by GOD the SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. To reveal these important things, St. Luke has written like this. 

Hence, these are the reasons for these writings in the Acts of the Apostles. But, the saved people were baptized in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit, as commanded by the LORD JESUS CHRIST. 

Those Jews or Israelites believed JESUS CHRIST and were saved by JESUS CHRIST. To mean that the Jews or the Israelites believed JESUS CHRIST as their own Saviour and that they were saved by JESUS CHRIST, it is written in the Acts of the Apostles as above. To mean that the Jews or the Israelites accepted JESUS CHRIST as their own MESSIAH, it is written as above. To mean that the Jews or the Israelites accepted JESUS CHRIST as their own GOD the SON, it is written as above. To mean that the Jews or the Israelites believed JESUS CHRIST as their own Redeemer and that were redeemed by JESUS CHRIST, it is written as above. To mean that the Jews or the Israelites believed JESUS CHRIST as their own JEHOVAH or YAHWEH or YHWH, it is written as above. To mean that the Jews or the Israelites believed JESUS CHRIST as their own GOD the SON and that they were saved by their own GOD the SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, it is written as above. Hence, these are the meanings of these writings in the Acts of the Apostles. 

But, no one was baptized in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. They were all baptized in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit as commanded by the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  The disciples or the apostles of the LORD had never changed any commandment of their heavenly Master, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  They had never baptized anyone in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. This is the true thing. This is the certain thing. There is no change in this true and certain thing. There is no change in this truth. There is no change in this truthful saying.

Again, one mystery (secret thing) in the writings in the Acts of the Apostles is to be discussed here. The Holy Bible says:

“Now the LORD is that (the) Spirit: and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty.”
II Corinthians 3:17

From this verse, we come to know that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the Spirit or the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon HIS shoulder: and HIS name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting FATHER, The Prince of Peace.”
 Isaiah 9:6

From this verse, we come to understand that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD the FATHER and GOD the SON.
Besides, our LORD JESUS CHRIST has said:

“I and MY FATHER are one.”
St. John 10:30

Again, our LORD JESUS CHRIST has said:

“...He that hath seen ME hath seen the FATHER; ...”
St. John 14:9

From these verses, we come to know that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD the FATHER.
Again, the Holy Bible says:

“In whom we have redemption through HIS blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible GOD, the firstborn of every creature.”
Colossians 1:14-15

From the above verses, we come to understand that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the true image of the invisible GOD. That is, GOD the SON is the true image of the invisible GOD; GOD the SON is the true image of the invisible GOD the everlasting FATHER. Now, GOD the everlasting FATHER is residing in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Hence, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD the everlasting FATHER and the LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD the SON and the LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD the Holy Spirit. The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the most holy GOD of TRINITY. GOD the FATHER and GOD the SON and GOD the Holy Spirit are the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. This is the mystery in these writings in the Acts of the Apostles.

Hence, everyone must clearly understand that everyone must be baptized in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit as commanded by the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

1.8 WHO TO BE BAPTIZED ?

Our LORD JESUS CHRIST has commanded HIS disciples to go and teach all nations (make disciples of all nations), baptizing them in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Spirit. 

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit): Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
St. Matthew 28:19-20

Now, who are the disciples of the LORD JESUS CHRIST? Those who continue in HIS word are HIS disciples. Those who hold on to HIS teachings are really HIS disciples.

“Then said JESUS to those Jews which believed on HIM, If ye continue in MY word, then are ye MY disciples indeed.”
St. John 8:31

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the heavenly Master. Those who hold on to the teachings of their heavenly Master, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and follow in HIS footsteps are HIS disciples. Those who hold on to the teachings of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST, are really HIS disciples. Those who obey the word of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST, are HIs real disciples.

The real disciples of the LORD JESUS CHRIST are to be baptized. The real servants of the LORD JESUS CHRIST are given the supreme command to go and make disciples of all the nations by baptizing them and teaching them to observe all HIS preachings (St. Matthew 28:19-20).

Again, those who are to be baptized should believe that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is GOD the FATHER, and GOD the SON, and GOD the Holy Spirit; and HE is the ONLY TRUE GOD; and HE is the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD.

“And we know that the Son of GOD is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know HIM that is true, and we are in HIM that is true, even in HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. This is the true GOD, and eternal life.” 
I John 5:20

Further, those who are to be baptized should believe that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the Only Saviour, and they should repent of their sins and receive forgiveness of sins and salvation from sins by faith. See Acts 2:38, 47. 

“And HE (JESUS) said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”
St. Luke 7:50

Again, those who are to be baptized should be dead with CHRIST from the rudiments of the world. Rudiments of the world means basic principles of the world. See Colossians 2:20. Basic principles of the world are always against the godly principles of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. Basic principles of the world are only worldly principles. They are not the principles of the LORD GOD. they are not the ordinances of the LORD GOD. They are the legalistic ordinances. Some basic principles of the world are: observing times, augury, enchantment, sorcery, divination, necromancy, wizardry, consulting with familiar spirits, etc.

“Wherefore if ye be dead with CHRIST from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, ... after (according to) the commandments and doctrines of men?”
Colossians 2:20, 22

Further, those who are to be baptized should not lay aside the commandments of the LORD GOD; they should not hold onto the traditions of men; they should not keep their own traditions; they should not nullify the word of GOD by their traditions; they should never hold the human commands and teachings; and they should never hold the doctrines of men. When our LORD JESUS CHRIST was in this world the Pharisees and scribes asked HIM,

“Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?” St. Mark 7:5

JESUS answered and said to them,

“Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth ME with their lips, but their heart is far from ME. Howbeit in vain do they worship ME, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of GOD, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.” St. Mark 7:6-8

And JESUS said to them,

“Full well ye reject the commandment of GOD, that ye may keep your own tradition. For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do aught for his father or his mother; Making the word of GOD of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.”  St. Mark 7:9-13

Hence, those who are to be baptized should be dead to the traditions and doctrines of men.In the Holy Bible, the marriage laws relating to husband and wife are given as follows:

“Wherefore they are no more (no longer) twain, but one flesh.  What therefore GOD hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” St. Matthew 19:6

“Whosoever shall put away (divorce) his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away (divorce) her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.” St. Mark 10:11-12

“Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away (divorce) his wife. The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the LORD.”
I Corinthians 7:10-11, 39

“For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of (concerning) her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.”
Romans 7:2-3

The wife is bound to her husband by the law of the LORD GOD; and the husband is bound to his wife by the law of the LORD GOD.  This is the important marriage law. But by tradition, the wife is bound to her husband by a wedding ring/band or by a wedding chain.  Again, by tradition, an engagement ring/bangle is also given by a man to a woman when they agree to get married; an engagement bracelet is also given by a woman to a man when they agree to get married.  Such things are by traditions and not by the law of the LORD. Those who are to be baptized should be dead to such things of traditions.

Further, those who are to be baptized should save themselves from the crooked and from the corrupt and from the perverse generation; they should save themselves from vain worship; they should save themselves from the hypocrites; and they should save themselves from their vain and hypocritical teachings. The apostle Peter testified and exhorted the people, saying,

“Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”
Acts 2:40

Then those who gladly received Peter's word were baptized; and that day (on the Pentecostal day) about three thousand souls were added to the church (Acts 2:41). Hence, those who are to be baptized should gladly receive the word of GOD, and they should save themselves from vain worship, and they should save themselves from the crooked and the corrupt and the perverse generation.

Now, Isaiah the prophet condemned his own people, the Jews or the Israelites for honouring GOD with their mouth and lips but not with their heart. Further, he told that their fear or reverence toward GOD was taught by the commandment of men (Isaiah 29:13).
Our LORD JESUS CHRIST also condemned them for their hypocrisy as follows:

“Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh (near) unto ME with their mouth, and honoureth ME with their lips; but their heart is far from ME. But in vain they do worship ME, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
St. Matthew 15:7-9

Further, those who are to be baptized should be dead to sins and should live for righteousness.

“...How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” Romans 6:2

“Who HIS own self bare our sins in HIS own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
I Peter 2:24

Again, those who are to be baptized should not be conformed to this world (to the pattern of this world), but they must be transformed by the renewing of their mind.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of GOD.”
Romans 12:2

For the transformation by the renewing of their mind, first of all, they should offer their bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to GOD. This is the wise spiritual worship; this is the wise spiritual service. They are the wise people; they are the wise virgins; they are not the foolish people; they are not the foolish virgins (St. Matthew 25:1-2).

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of GOD, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto GOD, which is your reasonable service.” 
Romans 12:1

Again, for the transformation by the renewing of their mind, their whole spirit and soul and body should be kept holy and blameless.  Transformation by the renewing of the mind makes transformation in spirit and soul and body.

“And the very GOD of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray GOD your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
I Thessalonians 5:23

Further, for the full transformation, they should shake off their dust of sin; and they should loose themselves from the bands of their neck. Those bands of their neck were tied when they were the captives and slaves of sins and Satan. Again, they should loose themselves from the bands of their hands, legs, noses, ears, waists, fingers, etc. The bands of the necks are chains; the bands of the fingers are rings, etc. The LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST says,

“Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.” Isaiah 52:2

 ‘Daughter’ means ‘people’.

Isaiah the prophet condemned the proud and fashionable people, since they were more interested in the latest fads of fashion than the spiritual well-being of them. The LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST warns,

“Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling (jingling) with their feet: Therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover (uncover) their secret parts. In that day the LORD will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, The rings, and nose jewels, The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the veils. And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.”
Isaiah 3:16-24

‘Daughters’ refer to people.

Again, all the activities of those who are to be baptized, should be godly. They should keep their feet off from evil. Their eyes should look straight ahead. Their eyelids should look straight before. They should give attention to HIS words. They should incline their ear to HIS sayings. They should put away their deceitful mouth. They should put perverse lips far from them. Above all else, they should keep their heart with diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. See Proverbs 4:20-27.

They should not wear any ornaments. They should not well-dress their hair. They should not apply any fragrance or perfume on their body. They should always live in godliness. Their lives should be always precious in the sight of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. Otherwise, the wrath of the LORD GOD will be upon them; they will be judged and thrown into the lake of burning sulphur.

Further, wearing ornaments will kindle the wrath of GOD. To escape from the wrath of GOD, the LORD GOD has commanded the children of Israel too to take off their ornaments. So they stripped off their ornaments by the mount Horeb. The LORD GOD said to Moses,

“Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it: And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked (stubborn) people: lest I consume (destroy) thee in the way.”
Exodus 33:1-3

When the people heard these evil (grave) tidings, they mourned, and no one put on his/her ornaments. For the LORD had said to Moses,

“Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked (stubborn) people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments (jewels) from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.”
Exodus 33:5 

So, the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by mount Horeb.

“And the children of  Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.”
Exodus 33:6

Again, wearing the following dresses will also kindle the wrath of GOD.
    
1.Costly array (expensive clothes). See I Timothy 2:9.

2.The changeable suits of apparel, i.e., the dress with pictures like dogs, cats, birds, lizards, etc. See Isaiah 3:22.

3, Stomacher or comely dresses or shining dresses. See Isaiah 3:24.

4.Attire of a harlot or attire of a prostitute. It is an unpleasant thin dress, which shows the nakedness of the body.

“And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.”
Proverbs 7:10

5.A woman must not wear men's clothing. A man must not wear women's clothing.
“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy GOD.” 
Deuteronomy 22:5

The adornment of women must be as follows:

“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.”
I Timothy 2:9-10

“Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of GOD of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in GOD, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.”
I Peter 3:3-6

Further, those who are to be baptized should have no desire to make a fair show in the flesh (no desire to make a good outward appearance) and they should have a form (dress) of godliness, not denying the power of godliness. They should have no desire to have a moustache, sideboards (sideburns), etc.

“As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of CHRIST.”
Galatians 6:12
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
II Timothy 3:5

Again, those who forsake the LORD GOD, deck themselves with earrings and jewellery. Thus, they burn incense to the Baalim (Baals) or to the devils and they go after their lovers, i.e., they go after the devils. Hence, they are doing sins, which deserve eternal punishment in hell.

“And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat ME, saith the LORD.”
Hosea 2:13

Those who are to be baptized should throw their ornaments away like a menstrual cloth.

“Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.”
Isaiah 30:22

The spiritual meaning of the word 'images' mentioned in the above verse is 'bodies of the people'.

Further, men should not have long hair; and women should not have short hair; and men and women should not decorate their hair.

“Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. But if any men seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of GOD.” I Corinthians 11:14-16

Again, women should not be quarrelsome and ill-tempered. Those who are to be baptized should not be quarrelsome and ill-tempered.

“It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house. It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.” Proverbs 21:9, 19

“A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.”
Proverbs 27:15

“But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.” Romans 2:8

Further, men should be without anger or disputing. They should have holy hands. Blood should not be in their hands. Those who are to be baptized should not be adulterers or adulteresses or fornicators or homosexuals or lesbians or gay persons.

“I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” I Timothy 2:8

“And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.” Isaiah 1:15

“For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.”
Isaiah 59:3

“That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, ...” Ezekiel 23:37

“And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.” Ezekiel 23:45

“...But whoremongers (fornicators) and adulterers GOD will judge.”
Hebrews 13:4

Those who are to be baptized should not be idolaters. Again, covetousness is idolatry. Covetous man is an idolater. Any man who loves anything or anybody more than GOD is an idolater. 

“Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”  I Corinthians 10:14

“...Covetousness, which is idolatry.” Colossians 3:5

“...Covetous man, who is an idolater, ...” Ephesians 5:5

Again, no one should set up their idols in their heart. See Ezekiel 14:3. No one should have any liking for the unwanted dresses or for the ornaments. They should hate the above things wholeheartedly.  Decked with gold, silver, precious stones, pearls, etc., and dressed in unwanted clothes with unwanted colours are the decorations of the bride of antichrist; they are the decorations of the bride of Satan, the devil.

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Revelation 17:4-5

The spiritual meaning of the word 'woman' mentioned in the above verse is all the congregations in the world, except the congregation of the church of the living GOD. That is, except the congregation following the first century Christian church. See Acts Chapter 2.

Those who are to be baptized must be transformed by the renewing of their mind and they should not be conformed to the pattern of this world. Now, what is told in the Holy Bible about the body of a man?

“...Now the body is not for fornication, but for the LORD; and the LORD for the body.”
I Corinthians 6:13

“Know ye not that your bodies are the members of CHRISTshall I then take the members of CHRIST, and make them the members of an harlot? GOD forbid (certainly not).” I Corinthians 6:15

Hence, those who wear the dress of a prostitute are making them (their bodies) the members (organs) of a prostitute. This is a sin, which deserves eternal punishment in hell. Thus, their bodies should always be the members (organs) of CHRIST, the most holy GOD.

Everyone should make it his/her habit to flee fornication. Every sin that a man or a woman does is outside the body, but he/she who commits fornication (sexual immorality) sins against his/her own body. Fornication is a great sin, which deserves eternal punishment in hell.

“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without (outside) the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.”
I Corinthians 6:18

Further, the people of the LORD GOD are not their own. They belong to the LORD GOD. They received their bodies from the LORD GOD and hence their bodies should be the temple of the Holy Spirit.

 

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit) which is in you, which ye have of GOD, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify GOD in your body, and in your spirit, which are GOD’s.”
I Corinthians 6:19-20

The people of the LORD GOD are bought with a price. They are bought with the most holy blood of JESUS CHRIST, the LORD GOD.  They are bought with the most holy flesh of JESUS CHRIST, the LORD GOD. They are bought with the most holy life of JESUS CHRIST, the ONLY TRUE GOD. The LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST gave HIMSELF fully to buy HIS people; HE gave HIMSELF fully to save HIS people; HE gave HIMSELF fully to redeem HIS people; HE gave HIMSELF fully to sanctify HIS people; HE gave HIMSELF fully to anoint HIS people with the Holy Spirit; HE gave HIMSELF fully to make HIS people enter into the kingdom of GOD; HE gave HIMSELF fully to make HIS people escape from judgment and hell. Since the people of the LORD GOD are bought by GOD, they should glorify GOD in their body and in their spirit and in their soul. They should glorify GOD in all things. Those who are to be baptized should always glorify GOD in all things.
Again, those who are to be baptized should have belief. 

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (condemned).”
St. Mark 16:16

Those who have the belief will live adhering strictly to the instructions, words of advice, laws, statutes, commandments, etc., of the LORD GOD. They will walk in accordance with the glorious gospel of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. They should have strong belief in the promises of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST. They should have the faith with deeds. They should have the living faith. The faith without deeds is dead. The faith without deeds is useless. There is only one faith.

“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:20

“One LORD, one faith, one baptism.” Ephesians 4:5

 

Further, those who are to be baptized should believe with all their heart. As Philip and the eunuch (the Ethiopian) went on their way, they came to some water. And the eunuch said,

“See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?”
Acts 8:36

Then Philip said,

“If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.” Acts 8:37

And the eunuch answered and said,

“I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the Son of GOD.” Acts 8:37

Then Philip baptized the eunuch (the Ethiopian).

Who are they that believe with all their heart?  What are the experiences of such believers? If anyone believes with all his heart, then he will believe the following verses of the Holy Bible fully.

“...I am the LORD that healeth thee.” Exodus 15:26

“And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, ...” Deuteronomy 7:15

“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.” Psalm 103:3

“...HIMSELF (JESUS HIMSELF) took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” St. Matthew 8:17

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD: And the prayer of  faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of  a righteous man availeth much.” 
James 5:14-16

If anyone believes with all his heart, then he will never search for any worldly doctor or any worldly physician and he will never take any medicine for his diseases or sicknesses. He believes fully that the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST is the heavenly doctor and heavenly physician and HE will heal all his diseases and sicknesses and HE is the best healer of all diseases and sicknesses and HE is the divine healer of all diseases and sicknesses. He will also believe that there are miracles and gifts of healings in the church of the LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST (I Corinthians 12:28). Those who are to be baptized should believe all the above things with all their heart. Everything that does not come from faith is sin.

“...Whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”
Romans 14:23

1.9 CHILD BAPTISM
Baptism should never be given to children or infants. The LORD JESUS CHRIST has commanded HIS disciples to baptize the people as mentioned in St. Matthew 28:19-20. Thus, those who are to be baptized should be HIS disciples. But, a little child or infant could not be HIS disciple; the little children or infants could not be HIS disciples.

Further, from the word of the LORD JESUS CHRIST in St. Mark 16:16, anyone can clearly understand that he who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. Now, no belief can be seen in a little child or infant; no belief can be seen in little children or infants. Hence, a little child or infant should not be baptized; little children or infants should not be baptized.

Again, from Acts 2:38, everyone can clearly understand that baptism is to be given to those who received forgiveness of sins (remission of sins), after they repent of their sins. Hence, baptism is a glorious symbol for the forgiveness of sins and for the repentance from sins. A little child has no idea about repentance from sins or about forgiveness of sins. The little children have no idea about repentance from sins or about forgiveness of sins. Thus, baptism should never be given to little children. 

Furthermore, from St. Luke 7:29-30, we come to know that acknowledging the fact that the LORD GOD is just is baptism, and accepting the counsel of the LORD GOD is baptism. Besides, from St. Matthew 3:15, we come to know that fulfilling the righteousness of GOD is baptism. The above three things cannot be done by a little child; the above three things cannot be done by little children. Hence, little children should never be baptized.
In addition, baptism is a glorious sign for those people who have belief or faith in JESUS CHRIST (St. Mark 16:16). But, little children have no idea about this belief or faith in CHRIST. Thus, baptism should never be given to little children.

Again, baptism is the experience of washing away the sins (Acts 22:16). But, little children have no idea about their sins. Hence, they have no idea about this glorious spiritual experience. Thus, baptism should never be given to little children.

Further, baptism is the experience of getting into JESUS CHRIST; baptism is the experience of getting into the death of JESUS CHRIST (Romans 6:3). But, little children have no idea about these glorious spiritual experiences. Hence, little children should never be baptized.

Furthermore, baptism is the experience of raising up from the dead. Those who were dead in their transgressions and sins are raised up from the dead by baptism (Romans 6:4). But, little children have no idea about their transgressions and sins. Hence, baptism should never be given to little children.

Besides, united with the death of JESUS CHRIST is baptism; united with the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST is baptism (Romans 6:5). But, little children have no idea about these glorious spiritual experiences.  Thus, little children should never be baptized.

Again, getting the experience to walk in newness of life is baptism (Romans 6:4). But, little children have no idea about this glorious spiritual experience. Little children have no idea about this spiritual walking with a new life. Hence, baptism should never be given to little children.

Further, a holy washing in the most holy name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST is baptism (I Corinthians 6:11). Putting on CHRIST is baptism (Galatians 3:27). But, little children have no idea about these glorious spiritual experiences. Thus, little children should never be baptized.

Furthermore, sanctification and cleansing with the washing of water by the word of GOD is baptism (Ephesians 5:26). But, little children have no idea about these glorious spiritual experiences. Hence, baptism should never be given to little children.

Again, getting the spiritual circumcision in the LORD JESUS CHRIST is baptism; putting off the body of sins of the flesh by the circumcision of CHRIST is baptism (Colossians 2:11). But, little children have no idea about these glorious spiritual experiences. Thus, little children should never be baptized. 

In addition, burying with JESUS CHRIST is baptism; risen with the LORD JESUS CHRIST is baptism; getting the faith of the operation of GOD is baptism (Colossians 2:12); seeking those things, which are in heaven is baptism (Colossians 3:1-2). But, little children have no idea about these blessed experiences. Hence, baptism should never be given to little children.

Besides, salvation by the washing of regeneration or rebirth is baptism (Titus 3:5). But, little children have no idea about this glorious spiritual rebirth or regeneration. Thus, baptism should never be given to little children.

Further, receiving the New Testament baptism is baptism (I Peter 3:21). But, little children have no idea about the New Testament baptism or about the Old Testament baptism. Hence, little children should never be baptized.

Furthermore, putting away of the filth of the soul and spirit is baptism (I Peter 3:21). But, little children have no idea about their filthy soul or spirit. Thus, little children should never be baptized.

Again, the pledge of a good conscience towards GOD is baptism (I Peter 3:21). But, little children have no idea about any pledge; they have no idea about a good conscience; they have no idea about GOD.  Thus, baptism should never be given to little children.
In addition, salvation by the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST is baptism (I Peter 3:21). But, little children have no idea about the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST; they have no idea about this glorious salvation. Hence, little children should never be baptized.

Besides, baptism is a preparation to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). But, little children have no idea about the preparation to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thus, baptism should never be given to little children. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

Now many people have a wrong thought about the baptism of Lydia and her household and the baptism of the household of Stephanas and the baptism of the Philippian jailer and his household.

Now, Lydia was led to believe GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. The LORD opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. She believed the gospel preached by Paul and then her household also believed the gospel and they were saved. And then they were baptized.  But many people wrongly assume that the baptism of Lydia and her household implies infant baptism.

“And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped GOD, heard us: whose heart the LORD opened, that she attended unto (to heed) the things which were spoken of Paul. And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the LORD, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.”
Acts 16:14-15

Paul baptized the household of Stephanas. This also does not imply infant baptism.

“And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.” 
I Corinthians 1:16

Now, Paul and Silas were guiltlessly seized and dragged and brought before the magistrates, and the magistrates commanded them to be rent off their clothes and to be beaten. After they had been severely beaten, they were thrown into prison. The jailer was commanded to guard them securely. So he put them in the inner cell of the prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. They were in great agony and pain.

At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to GOD, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors were opened, and everybody's chains were loosed.

The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying,

“Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.”
Acts 16:28

Then the jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. He brought them out and asked,

“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
Acts 16:30

They said,

“Believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
Acts 16:31

Paul and Silas spoke the word of the LORD to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. The jailer and his household believed the gospel preached by Paul and Silas and they were saved and they were baptized. And when he had brought them into his house, he set food
before them; he greatly rejoiced because he had come to believe in GOD-he and his household. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

“…And was baptized, he and all his, straightway. … and rejoiced, believing in GOD with all his house.”Acts 16:33-34

Again, many people wrongly assume that the baptism of the jailer's household implies infant baptism. But, Paul and Silas preached the word of the LORD, the glorious gospel of JESUS CHRIST to the jailer's household. They all heard the word preached; they all understood the word preached; they all had believed the word preached; they all had confessed their sins before the LORD JESUS CHRIST with broken-heart, with tears, and with humility; they all had received the salvation of their souls (the salvation from sins), the reward of their faith. Those who had believed the gospel, and obtained salvation from sins, were baptized.

“Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”
I Peter 1:9

Further, no infant can hear and understand the word preached; no infant can believe the word preached; no infant can receive salvation from sins by confessing its sins. Hearing the word of GOD, believing the word of GOD, confessing sins, receiving salvation from sins and being baptized with the washing of water by the word and by the Holy Spirit were the consistent acts of the first century Christians.  Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
Again, in the household of the jailer or in the household of Lydia or in the household of Stephanas, there might be infants or there might not be infants. But, neither Paul nor Silas had baptized infants; neither Paul nor Silas had baptized children. They baptized as per the commandment of our LORD JESUS CHRIST in St. Matthew 28:19-20.  They baptized the disciples of our LORD JESUS CHRIST (St. John 8:31). Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

Now, household means all the people who live together in a house, especially a family. In a family, there may be infants or there may not be infants.

“For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.”
I Corinthians 1:11

Here, the household of Chloe had informed about disagreements, does not mean that the nursing child or the nursing children of the household of Chloe had informed about disagreements. This means that two or more people in the household of Chloe had informed about disagreements. In the household of Chloe, there might be infants or there might not be infants. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

Furthermore, the LORD JESUS CHRIST has never baptized any little child; HE has never commanded HIS disciples to baptize little children. But, HE took the little children up in HIS holy arms, put HIS holy hands upon them, and blessed them. Hence, little children should never be baptized. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

“And they brought young children to HIM, that HE should touch them: and HIS disciples rebuked those that brought them.  But when JESUS saw it, HE was much displeased, and said unto them, ‘Suffer the little children to come unto ME, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of GOD. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of GOD as a little child, he shall not enter therein.’ And HE took them up in HIS arms, put HIS hands upon them, and blessed them.”
St. Mark 10:13-16

Again, to set an example, our LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST received baptism, when HE HIMSELF was about thirty years old. 

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that JESUS also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit) descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon HIM, and a voice came from heaven, which said, THOU art MY beloved SON; in THEE I am well pleased. And JESUS HIMSELF began to be about thirty
years of age, ...”

St. Luke 3:21-23

From these things, anyone can very clearly understand that child baptism (infant baptism) is spiritually inefficacious and unwarranted.

1.10 HOW MANY BAPTISMS ?

"ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM." Ephesians 4:5

There is only one baptism-water baptism. This baptism is given and received according to the above-mentioned facts. Any baptism contrary to the above-mentioned facts is not baptism. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!
In the first century, some disciples of John the Baptist had given baptism (John's baptism) to some people perversely, as it is given nowadays in many churches. This baptism had not been given according to the above-mentioned facts. So, the apostle Paul deemed it necessary to baptize them, and they were baptized. Praise The LORD! Alleluia!

“And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit) since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit). And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on HIM which should come after him, that is, on CHRIST JESUS. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the LORD JESUS. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost (the Holy Spirit) came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve.”
Acts 19:1-7

1.11 NEGLECT OF BAPTISM

   “But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of GOD against themselves, being not   baptized of him.”
St. Luke 7:30 

If anyone neglects baptism, after getting the required experiences, then he is rejecting the counsel of the LORD GOD against himself. Hence, he is doing evil against himself; he is doing sin against himself; he is doing evil against himself again; he is doing sin against himself again. Thus, he is going out of the way of the LORD GOD. This evil act will give him judgment and hell.
Hence, the Holy Spirit of the LORD GOD warns those who are rejecting the counsel of the LORD JESUS CHRIST against themselves.

“And now why tarriest thou (why do you wait)? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the LORD.”  
Acts 22:16

 

1.12 SIGNIFICANCE OF BAPTISM

Anyone who has received baptism is risen up with the LORD JESUS CHRIST and his/her life is hidden with CHRIST in GOD. When CHRIST who is his/her life finally appears to catch up with HIM HIS church, then he/she will also appear with HIM in glory (Colossians 3:1-4).

Now, when the children of Israel started their journey to Canaan, the Promised Land, the Red sea or the world of sea fully obstructed their journey. And the Egyptians, Pharaoh and all his horses and chariots and horsemen and troops of army pursued the children of Israel and were about to overtake them as they were by the Red sea. The children of Israel saw the Egyptians marching after them. They were greatly terrified and cried out to the LORD GOD. Moses the man of GOD (the servant of GOD) also cried out to the LORD GOD. Then the LORD GOD wonderfully divided the waters of the Red sea through HIS servant Moses and the children of Israel went through the sea on dry ground (Exodus 14:1-22).

Likewise, the people who are baptized have started their journey to their heavenly Canaan, the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of GOD. As the Red sea or the world of sea obstructed the children of Israel, the world will obstruct the people who are baptized. As our LORD GOD gave victory to the children of Israel through HIS servant Moses, HE will certainly give victory to the people who are baptized through HIS true servants.

Further, we have already seen that when the children of Israel passed through the Red sea, they were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea (I Corinthians 10:1-4). After they were baptized, they went out into the wilderness of Shur. And they were three days in the wilderness without finding any water. When they came to
Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. At that time also, Moses, the servant of GOD, cried out to the LORD GOD, and the LORD GOD showed him a tree. He cut a piece of wood from that tree and cast it into the water, and the water became sweet (Exodus 15:22-25).

Likewise, the life of those people who are baptized is like the life in the wilderness. But, our LORD GOD, JESUS CHRIST is with them always "to save them to the uttermost" (Hebrews 7:25). Further, the world will become bitter to the people who are baptized. But, our GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST will make it sweet to HIS people through HIS true servants.

Again, after our LORD JESUS was baptized, HE was tempted by Satan, the devil and HE overcame the tempter Satan, the devil (St. Matthew 4:1-11). Likewise, the people who are baptized will have to meet temptations. Because our LORD JESUS HIMSELF suffered when HE was tempted, HE is able to help those who are tempted (Hebrews 2:18). Our GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST-the Great Helper (Hebrews 13:6), will give HIS great help during those temptations and give HIS great victory to HIS people. For that, everyday we should pray to GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST-"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" (St. Matthew 6:13).

As soon as our LORD JESUS was baptized, HE came up out of the water. At that moment, the heavens were opened to HIM and HE saw the Spirit of GOD descending like a dove and lighting (alighting) upon HIM (St. Matthew 3:16). Again, baptism is a preparation to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). Hence, the people who are baptized should immediately wait and pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit (I John 2:20; II Corinthians 1:21) and for obtaining the gifts of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 12:8-12) and for obtaining the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:9). The anointing of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the fruits of the Holy Spirit are very essential for one's spiritual life. Without these spiritual blessings, no one can live as a victorious spiritual man. Praise The LORD! Alleluia! 

2. LORD'S SUPPER OR HOLY COMMUNION

Our LORD JESUS CHRIST says,

Whoso (whoever) eateth (eats) MY flesh, and drinketh (drinks) MY blood, hath (has) eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
 St. John 6:54

The LORD's Supper or the Holy Communion is the most solemn religious feast in the Christian church in which one unleavened bread (the bread without yeast), made up of fresh and fine grains of wheat and new grape juice, made up of fresh and fine grapes (the fruits of the vine) are shared in a solemn ceremony as a remembrance of the great suffering and death of JESUS CHRIST to pay for our sins. This is the most awesome Christian worship instituted by the LORD JESUS CHRIST on the eve of HIS death, being a spiritual partaking of bread and the fruits of the vine. The two symbols of the LORD's Supper or the Holy Communion are the bread, representing the broken body of CHRIST, and the cup, representing CHRIST's shed blood. Saint Matthew tells us,

“And as they were eating, JESUS took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, ‘Take, eat; this is MY body.’ And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink ye all of it; For this is MY blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.’ But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in MY FATHER’s kingdom.”
St. Matthew 26:26-29

Only the believers, the saved people of the LORD must observe the feast of the LORD's Supper or the Holy Communion, and it must be observed during night and it should not be observed during daytime (I Corinthians 11:23-26).

2.1 PASSOVER

When we read Exodus 12:1-20, we can very well understand what the Israelites' Old Testament feast of the LORD's Passover was about. The above Passover was celebrated by killing a lamb for each household in the evening, on the fourteenth day of the first month of their year. The month Nisan or Abib is the first month of their year. The lamb must be one year old male, without blemish (defect). If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbour, having taken into account the number of people there are. The lamb may be taken from the sheep or the goats. The lamb was the sacrifice of the LORD's Passover, during the Old Testament period. See Exodus 12:27. From the above day of the first month evening until the evening of the twenty-first day of the first month, they should eat unleavened bread (bread made without yeast), the bread of affliction (Deuteronomy 16:3). For seven days, no leaven (yeast) is to be found in their houses. And whosoever eats anything with yeast in it will be cut off from the congregation (community) of Israel. The unleavened bread refers to holiness and lowliness of heart. This seven day feast is called the feast of Unleavened Bread
